Expo organizers meet Chinese ambassador in Botswana
The Expo 2010 organizers on Thursday discussed with Liu Huanxing, Chinese ambassador in Botswana and ambassador in Southern African Development Community, on African countries' participation in Expo 2010.
Chen Jintian, director of the Joint-Africa Pavilion Management Department of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, introduced to Liu the latest development of African countries' participation in Expo 2010 and the preparation of the Joint-Africa Pavilion. Chen discussed Botswana's participation with Liu in detail.
Liu said that preparation of Expo 2010 is a national event and Expo Shanghai has offered good support for African participants. It was a good opportunity for these countries to showcase themselves to the world. The embassy will spare no efforts to help Expo organizers to prepare the event and ensure smooth communications between Expo organizers and Botswana, he added.
